- September 2007: the jury meets in Amsterdam to choose the five nominees from the longlist of 53 artists, coming from 15 European countries. Francis Alÿs, Peter Friedl, Liam Gillick, Deimantas Narkevicius and Rebecca Warren will take part in the exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum

- Thursday June 19, 2008: lectures around a special theme, to be held at the Stedelijk Museum CS, Amsterdam

- June 19, 2008: opening of the exhibition The Vincent Award 2008 at the Stedelijk Museum CS, Amsterdam

- June 20 until September 30, 2008: exhibition The Vincent Award 2008 at the Stedelijk Museum CS

- June 20 until August 31, 2008: during the exhibition of The Vincent Award 2008 visitors can vote at the museum for their favourite artist. The winning artist will be rewarded with the Public's Prize

- September 2008: the jury meets again to appoint the winner of The Vincent Award 2008. The winner will receive the prize fee of € 50.000

- Friday September 12, 2008: Award Ceremonial Day

During the exhibitions visitors voted for their favourite artist. The winner will receive the Public's Prize today, along with € 5.000
