Born in 1965 London, United Kingdom
Currently lives and works in London
The diverse oeuvre of Rebecca Warren includes vitrines, sculptures produced with clay and bronze, as well as collages. While individual works of course stand alone, it is her installations, where her work has been able to reveal its truest meaning and orientation. Quotations are made throughout the work to other artists, like Rodin, Degas, Boccioni and Robert Crumb, but her unusual interpretation of the classical and the contemporary, popular and high culture, feministic and psychological debates, creates an idiosyncratic and unique platform through which she presents her original ideas.
